Trailer

As we reach the 50th anniversary of the first people to travel to the moon, ‘Rocket Boy’ is the account of a man who witnessed, first hand, the launch of that rocket.

As he recalls the awe inspiring event, the story is told through the eyes of a young boy, who’s power of imagination makes the impossible become real.

The film began life when Photographer / Director Simon Sorted travelled across the US interviewing and documenting people who had compelling stories to tell of their experience growing up in the space age, and witnessing the launch of the first rockets to the moon.

One of these accounts serves as narration for a fictional narrative, fantasy film, that explores the power of imagination and invention that was required to realise mankind’s greatest achievement: to journey to and set foot on another world.
